I used to feed a lot of feeder goldfish then I started getting minnows from a bait farm. A lot cheaper and I also fed my RTCs and clown knifes so since they would only eat live fish it made sense. Now my oscars eat spiders, crickets, worms, they love cichlid gold pellets, grasshoppers, the occasional frog, extra african cichlids that don't sell too well, and whatever else I feel like tossing into them. I have a mated pair and two other adult oscars as well as 12 young veiltails so they get a nice mix of live food as well as the cichlid gold pellets and NLS.
