Oscar ?

2.5" Oscar just stays under filter on 55g. I added a convict weeks ago to get the Oscar out and about and nothing. I have other 2.5" cichlids in my 125g and they swim all over and very active. Is this just how oscars are at this size. Water tests great. Temp 74 two penguin 350s so plenty of filteration

Temps kind of low.

Temp is around 74-76. Fins seem fine and he we like this before I added convict. I just added convict for another fish so he's not alone

I had temp around 76-78 but I thought maybe he was staying near filter for air so I lowered the temp a week ago. He still stays there.

Temp is a little low. How long have you had him in this tank?

74-76 is to low? About 3weeks.

I will move convict to the 125g and see if that helps. The Oscar was the same way when he was in the tank alone though for a week. Maybe he just needs more time

Problem should be solved i will keep this updated. His fins were alittle nipped so convict is removed. I will just keep him solo. I figured he needed a tank many being in a big tank so small. First time having an oscar
