:screwy: ive ben having trouble with one of my albino oscars getting picked on by my other two and my mom wants to have him in his own tank but she only wants to put him into like a 40 gallon tank perminatly. ive gave her my opinion on this now i wanted to get some others on this :screwy:

its agood idea to rehome him...sounds like the other two might kill him...threes a crowd and all that....but you need i would say atleast a 75 usgallon tank:headbang2 can grow him up in something smaller but doesnt take long...mine went from 0.5inch-9inch in one year:nilly:

A 40 breeder can home 1 with daily 100% water changes......

i know that i'm gonna cause some "problems" by saying this, but i know many people (including some members of mfk) who have suggested that it is fine to keep a full grown oscar in a 35 gallon with little or no decor. i wouldn't personally do this unless i was in your position, considering i think that the fish would be much happier on its own in a 40 than with two bullies in a larger tank. good luck with your decision:)

Seems sqishy. But tell your mum not to keep it in anything smaller then 70, at least. 30G is sooooo small. My 35G is 36"x13"x18". Way too small for an oscar.

A 55 gallon for a single Oscar is fine. If you can afford a 75 it's better, but a 55 will do.
