I recently moved my 2 tiger o's into a 120 tall and bought two convicts to throw in the tank. Within 24 hours I noticed that the cons were attacking the much larger oscars tails and fins.
So naturally I seperated them and took one of the convicts back to the lfs. The convicts I picked up were two males, so I went and bought 10 grow out cons and tossed them in a 20 long to start a breeding project as soon as they paired up, and they have. Now I need to find a place for the rest of them so that the pair can have some peace and quiet. I want to add them back in the large tank, but dont want my O's all beat up. Has anyone done this before? So I guess my question is are convicts the same as barbs where there aggressiveness drops off when kept in numbers?
