are thee a good mix?
I have 3 Oscars... which i love... but he fight alot...
I was thinkin bout gettin some cichlas but if they dont mix well i think ill have to find my oscars anothe home... des anybody have these specie mixed?
 
I am thinking there could be some battles, but you never know.
 
Yes, they go great together, I recall miles having a good ol' laugh over that idea... for those who missed, lets recap...

haha i wud love to see some cichlas outgrow my oscars n snack on the tank bullies
hes a real bastard but hes the nicest lookin ofthem all.
 
The answer to this question depends on the size of your tank more than anything else. I have 2 oscars, 11" and 9". in with my 2 monos which are 14" and 12" and they get along fine in my 200.

lolz im sorta happy for the pbass my oscar killed my 2in pbass a year ago...i sold him right away to a friend for 60$. i bought a another pbass:-)
 
welll as you can see in the pics that moxxommox's posted...if there is a fish in the tank with pbass and the fish will fit into the pbass' mouth then there's no guaruntee that they'll get along together and that the smaller fish won't become a snack. if these 2 species are kept together you'd need a huge tank with tons of filtration and you'd want to make sure the oscars are significantly larger than the pbass...then however you run into the issue of the oscars possibly trying to eat the pbass if the pbass are able to fit into the oscars mouth. it's definitely a risk but not all together impossible. just gonna take some trial and error and some luck. ;)
 
Your oscars are probably fighting because there is three of them. Ditch one of them and things should improve. Two oscar and a some pbass means a 300+ gallon tank.
