I bought two little oscars for three days ago and now im thinking tankmates for them. Are salvinis suitable tankmates? 90 gallon

I think your pretty much stocked to the limit with two oscars. Even if you did add Salvini's they would bully and harrass your O's. IME Salvini's don't like anything bigger than they are and if something poses a threat they make short work of it. It could work but I wouldn't recommend it be done.

My Salvini must be different then. He is not aggressive at all.

Well how big? Is he the smallest? What tankmates? My Salvini is extremely aggressive to the point where it pretty much has come to him being in a tank alone.

He is 6 inches and is in with a 6 inch female JD, some Cons, a juvy red terror, and a juvy jag, and an Oscar. The JD runs runs the tank. He chases the Sal around alot.

Yea I have a female JD with two sal and the JD chases them but with no damage because the sals are faster than the JD. But I would say no to the sal with 2 O because they are all similar size and sals are more aggressive than O, IMO, not to mention Os are quite slow. Like stated above tank would be too full, but if you are pushing for it make sure O has size advantage may or may not work. just my .02

Ok. Thanks for the advices. Ive made up my mind. No salvinis. Instead two more oscars, and thats it. I think that 350 litres or 90g are room enough, at least my petstore says so.

Your pet store is wrong. 4 adult oscars will need something that's 6' long. Not to mention very beefy filtration and a rigorous water change schedule.

Four oscars in a 90 gallon is WAY too much! Please don't get any more oscars! Just stick with two oscars right now, and when the grow up, you wont be dissapointed ;).
