Oscars & Blue Backgrounds

Go black! Jds blues will show bright with a black background , plus any algae that may grow on the back always looks nice (green on black)

He's GORGEOUS!!! I have black on his tank. I was thinking about changing it. JD'S look GREAT against black so I guess IM leaving it!!!! LOL!!!!

I did have a blue mixed custom to be very dark.


The new tank has a black back.

How do you get algae like that? I can't get to grow

If you're like me, it grows but the fish eat it overnight.

Yellow or light green fish seem to look great against the black or blue, but you tend to lose the reds with a blue back.

Anyhow, does this mean you're setting up a new tank?
