shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
my oscars seem real board. the tank is pretty barren and they keep trying to destroy the filters and heater. should i put any decorations in my tank to give them something else to destroy?

you can add balls or anything that he can move jut not something he could break the tank with so no rocks ect

What kind of oscars do you have? If you choose to add items such as plants and light rocks ECT, they will move them around a lot. But try adding some type of hiding spots for them. Also what do you feed them?

they are about 8 or 9 inches, one is albino and one is red. i feed them cichlid gold and freeze dried jumbo krill. wat kind of balls do you mean? i used to have plants but they kept ripping them up so i got rid of them a while ago, and they used to like moving all the gravel into the corner but i took out all the gravel to keep the tank cleaner. i need something that can entertain them and that i dont have to keep on fixing everytime they move it around.

Table tennis ball is used sometimes for oscars to play.... but check how big your oscar's mouths are first!

I am guessing you have two. How big is your tank? Try live feeders every once and a while. Might lessen aggression. Also try to place the floating wood, or even sand at the bottom of your tank. If your tank is large enough to add another tank mate, I would consider doing so

i would add some decor-who cares if they move it around? throw some sand on the bottom (theyll love that) add a few chunks of driftwood and a fake plant that can just float on top and wont look bad. also any ball that floats, and wont lodge in the oscars throat is good..

how big is the tank? that could also be a problem-one oscar alone needs 55-75 gallons to itself-they could be frusterated with the lack of space. IF your tank is large enough add a school of silver dollars to distract them.

you should add sand or some form of smaller substrate along with some driftwood.
maybe even add like 3 giant danios
they can take the aggression and can survive the chases if the oscar decides to chase them.

I have plants and decor in my Os tank but he dont care he would rather rip my intakes off , pushes my bubbles around , pushes large pieces of driftwood around and in general tears his tank apart . I think its just in thier nature
