oscars causing trouble

has anyone used raquet balls instead of tennis balls? im afraid of putting something in there that might hurt the water quality
i like waking up and seeing what my oscar has done to the tank

he likes to re decorate. they need things to play with!lol yeah i never cared if my o's rearranged their tank- i figure they are the ones living in it.. like everyone said, get some sand, driftwood and fake plants in there.. the fish need the stimuli and things to do..
i took out all the substrate just to help keep things cleaner. i might throw in some driftwood. i dont care if they rearrange things but i dont want them destroying the equipment. i shoulda kept my red devils. the constant fighting always kept them occupied
yours chews stuff up mine likes to jump out of the tank at feeding time they all got there own personality i guess
lol try sinking a hamster ball with feeders inside of it see how much that would drive them nuts.
mine used to jump to eat from my hand, but now that they are bigger i get too wet so i try to avoid giving them that chance
