also i feel as if live should only be given once a month unless ur breeding and then feeding the fish yourself such as guppies and u give the guppies a healthy diet. i got 1 large male and about a half dozen feeders gupps that have been in a 10 gallon for 2 months now when they first got in there i set the heat to 90 to quarentine them and they have doubled in numbers and once it gets over populated ill feed some to my fish.
i feed the guppies mysis shrimp, blood worms, once a week.
flake when i have it and when i dont i drop a few carnivore pellets and hikari gold in the tank and when it softnes up they slrup it down
just letting you know also this way you dont have to worry about parasites and disease

now thats the way to monsterville
great going dude

so how is your silver aro
and get oscars on dried shrimp(these you might find at the local market they are orange in color)
and pellets
and since there are all those fish and there is enuff competition for food
i think it would be quite easy for you to move them to pellets and dried shrimp
dried shrimp is best while weaning fish from live fish
even my jardini accepted dried shrimp at once, but i wasn't able to move him to pellets, but i keep his diet varied

beef heart, chicken heart, earthworms, dried shrimp, live ghost shrimp, and grasshoppers and crickets(treats, once in a while)
the same can be fed to your oscars too and they will surely show much better coloration and they will be quite healthy too
