oscars fight to the death

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
In my experience I've found reprimanding the aggressor has little to no effect on aggression exhibited. Seems to me that it's more reasonable to let them establish who's frontin and who's for real.

stopping fish from fighting is hard to do when all they want to do is fight!

i say seperate or leave there is no stopping!!!!!

if i was to try and stop fights in my tank it would be a 24hour shift 7days a week :WHOA:

thats what i figured... i just left them because i figured at some point they will establish who is the dominant one... and then its all good...
funny thing is that the dominant one is the smallest of the 3...
maybe there territories r just too small... (i dont see how they hav territories though cuz they always swim together)
i think this fight was the worst of it... i havent seen anything since

but yea i have my fish in a 55 gallon right now which is slowly but surely getting to small... these things have grown like 3 inches in 3 months... but my 270 gallon is almost finished... so theyll be happy soon

The title is misleading don't you think? A broken lip is far from death unless it permanantly couldn't eat. Hopefully he'll live. Other than that it's a cool video with well chosen background music.

thanks man, i appreciate it, thats my band... u liiike?

yeah the band's SIC, also beware that one of those fella's might get tossed out the tank, i don't know if this happens voluntary or if the fish is "forced" out by the more dominant one. But my 2 O"s had a 55 to themselves, until i found one on the floor, since then i've added more fish, upgraded tank, and haven't had any more problems with those two.:D
