looks like a ritural to me.....give 'em a big piece of slate (burry it and they'll clean it off) then set-up a grow out tank for all the babies!

I just have to make one observation here. Now, I realize that vid quality and lighting and other factors may play a part in this, so take it with a grain of salt...

It really looks like it's time for a massive water change. It looks like your fish are swimming in toilet water!:eek:

ur right it does look rather disgusting in that video. i do weekly 20% water changes though
but im plannin on pumping that up to 40 percent now that i have a proper sized rubbermaid to do it with...

Oscars usually start to spawn their second year. How old are they? They look a little small judging from comparisons to the other things in the tank. Never the less, this behavior is a good sign.
