Oscars for a 4x2x2 tank

I'd go with it I have 2 oscars and they get along well. Make sure you get them young and let them grow up together for maximum compatibility!!!

get 6 baby oscars (1") and let them pair up.

As far as tank mates go, clown loaches are good.

Thanks for the replies guys! It seems like everyone has had mixed results with keeping 2 oscars. Do you think if I get 6 juvies, and when I find a pair, sell the rest and keep two would work? I'll probably just get 2 oscars if it will work.

Also, can I have a bare bottom tank? I prefer them cos its easier to clean. Or would you recommend it?
