Oscars,Green terrors, and Blood Parrot Fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
wow lol a red tailed shark thats pathetic. plus ive heard that sometimes but not always when fish are put together young and grow out together they become so used to eachother they don't even take a second look at eachother

I have an oscar, GT, JD, and texas in my 100 setup. They do bicker, but nothing serious. The oscar is bigger than the rest, and the tex and JD are both females, so maybe that's why they are able to coexist. My JD is submissive to the oscar, but the JD is dominant to both the GT and the tex. However, the GT and tex at times try to challenge the oscar to no avail due to sheer size difference. The GT and tex stay away from each other on opposite sides of the tank. Sometimes you will get lucky with combos like this.

I saw a red tailed shark pick on multiple african cichlids of the same size.

Will they all be able to live together. I just got a 125g tank... waiting for it to cycle. all are about 2inchs long now ?

(2 oscars) (2 Gt's) (2 blood parrot's)

i had same set up

the oscars get sick too much
the green terrors and firemouths fight with eachother
and then they all go after the bloods

but they got along for 3 months b4that
in a 65!
guess they just get to a size and all hell breaks loose

anyways i have a 10" jd and a pike cichlid with my blood parrots now
everyone else is in another tank
not sure where your located but if you want to drive to big bear ca
you can have my gt/fm/oscars

I would love too... however I'm in Dallas. It would be cheaper and save a hell of a lot of time just going to the LFS... But thanks anyways.

they should be fine i have a RT GT Jag And several Parrots in my 280 for around a year hadnt had any issues since i took the pink convict out. he had over 3/4 of the tank locked down
