no I'm not insane but yes they are adults. 4 are full grown and one is about 3/4 grown. i also have a fully grown Green Terror in there. they push eachother around but never do any damage to eachother. my tank dimesions are 75"x18"wx24"h. oh thats a 145 gallon tank. i also have a 4 tier trickle filter, the kind that sits on top of the tank. and i do weekly 40% water changes.
i found there are enough fish in the tank to keep everyone busy but not overly aggressive. it can be done with the right filtration and maintenance. I bought 2 fully grown, 2 half grown and one juvenile. tanks here are regulary way overstocked so they were probably used to a tank with more fish in it than mine hence not too much aggression.
If you see an aggression problem in your tank you can always remove a fish later but adding a new fish to an established tank is a lot harder. does this make sense?
