oscars in 20g long

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
is that a real question?? lol im new to the hobby and i know that. ima have to agree wit lil mama on this one go wit the convicts! "TCARS........what up sac town"

No oscars sorry.

But fish you may want to look into are:
- Sajica Cichlid
- Convicts (wild caught (better blue hues on body))
- Blue Acara

pair of convicts, sure . . . or HRP, or Sajica, etc.; all similar fish

but I wouldn't do firemouth, it's a little tight . . . and I would say "no" to Green Terrors or Blue Acara, they both get too big . . . even one Blue Acara would be a little uncomfortable in a 20G, not to mention lonely

you should also consider the dwarf cichlids, like laetacara curvicpeps/dorsigera, which are very colorful and would LOVE a 20G planted tank . . .

some HRP convicts are cool and a pair would be nice in a tank that small

HRP are not convicts they were once thought to be a natural hybrid but are now a cyrtoheros species of their own I have a f1 pair from ken Davis and thy are beautiful especially when breeding I have about 20 free swimmers right now I would really consider these there not hard to breed either I was treating for ich when mine spawned about a week aftter I got them turned up the heater changed 15percent water daily and that was the clencher btw since ur new to the a HRP is a Honduran Red Point

oscars and green terrors won't work, but you could go for a convict cichlid

my dam camera broke so i cant upload for a day or so but - i went to the stream and caught a 2 inch convict and a 4 inch pure silver cichlid of some sort - maby when i upload pic you ugys can tell me waht it is XD
