oscars mating???

The oscars should eat the snails.

That being said yes, for any size. Petco sells the plain oscars for $9 but they are never in stock. Other than that its $12-14 for anything. So...you should send me a couple babies priority. :D

if they do mate, how many do they have at a time??

and im hoping that the oscars wont notice the baby snails till there bigger and hoping by then they would have done there job. but i have a plant in there and im fearing i may have messed up with the snails.
 
The o's will destroy the plant. The snails are food. The first spawn may not make it, but when the O's are spawning regularly, you can expect a minimum of 600. If your water is good. Thats not a norm, just my experience.
 
I started mine in a 55g. I moved them to a 100g after the first spawn didnt survive. Then they killed my aro so I moved them to a 125g and the spawning took off.
 
Also, if you want to breed them seriously, Id upgrade the tank. The bigger the better. They are okay in a 75g at there size now but... Youll get bigger and better spawn in a larger tank.
 
Once they started i was afraid to do water changes so i didnt do any for months. They still spawned tho.
