You have it back to front. At sizes under 5", you only need to feed twice a day. When bigger, you only need to feed once or twice per day. And when he's bigger then 9", once a day is great.
Hexamita is caused by bad water quality and incorrect diet. If you do everything as you should, this problem shouldnt even enter your mind.
And please, for the ease of reading for everyone on this forum (Some oldies are getting a bit blind), use full stops and correct punctuation. It really helps.

Do I need to own to oscar to tell if the pH, temp, or feeding schedule is wrong? Feeding schedule is debateable but you dont need these fish to grow any faster. Any more food and your just wasting your money.*KrAmEr*;1448251; said:
