I ment final to end all people asking what tank size oscars need full grown. And I used 55gal to show how few people think that one would work. 75(this is bare minimum with alot of water changes and correct params) to show how many beleive it might work. And yes I understand I should've said 90+ but 90 would work.
 
I would use a 4x2x2 as a minimum even for 1 oscar.
 
I put 90, the bigger the better for an oscar. They get massive and they are very messy, especially when they eat.
 
People put them in 55 gallons, but it really is too small. 75 gallon to me is the minimum. I chose the minimum, but if you have a 90 gallon, even better.
 
It's not the specifically the gallon size that matters, it's the length. I'd rather have a 100G long tank for fish to naturally swim back and fourth in compared to a 100G tall tank...........
