I've got 2 endlis and one ornate and have 3 tiger oscars growing rapidly in my grow out tank. I wanted to know whether it would be a good mix having birchirs and oscars in the same tank, or would somebody lose an eye?;)

I had all my bichirs with my 4 full grown oscars for ages and they were all fine. How big is the tank and how long are you planning on keeping them in the "grow out" tank?

if the oscars are big enough to eat the bichirs dont do it, my oscar just ate my bichir and i am pissed!!!!!!!!!

At this stage the Oscars will be dinner but was thinking about moving them to the 6x2x2 when they are big enough. I was seeing if there were any horror stories like oscars biting an eye out of the birchirs.
I'm worried more about the bichirs as they are worth $500+ each and i bought my oscars for $15 each :nilly:

Errghh..... bichirs might have little things left to eat.

i agree with CDM bichirs might have little things left to eat, so i dont think is a good idea, unless you have the patience to watch your polys get their part everytime.
