oscars with live live plants????

I had mine with Swords, he didn't bother them.

Some dig and some don't...
Some tear up plants and some don't...

It is fairly safe to generalize that most will dig & thrash plants.

My Oscar doesn't touch my plants, except for when he's sleeping. He likes to hang out in the Amazon Swords.

the only sucess ive had was with java fern, they just dont like the taste...at all, and its a plant that will survive either attached to somthing or free floating. evertime i go with sward plants they get degraded down to a ball of root. fake is always an option, my O's rip them to schreds too but who cares lol

You can always go with floating plants like anacharis or hornwort, nothing to uproot.
