I've got two 4" red oscars and it seems like they never stop eating. I've had them for about two weeks now and I reguraly feed them three times a day. In the morning and evening I feed them a good amount of Omega One small pellets and in the afternoon I feed them two freeze dried krill each. But every time I walk remotely close to the tank they always swim to the top doing there dance and opening there mouth for food. Do I need to feed them more or what? I don't want to over feed them though.

That is just a normal oscar behavior, what tank size do you keep them in?

haha...they make you feel guilty (like you arent feeding them enough) dont they?

Oscars were my first fish along time ago and i felt like that all the time.

Feel free to feed them more, ive never herd of an oscar dying of bloat. Having said that stop feeding once they look pregnant.

Feeding like this I got 1.5" minimum growth per month from oscars a tiny bit smaller then yours.

if they wont stop eating, then stop feeding them :D

Just know that you are feeding them enough. Alot of fish beg constantly for more food. But to keep them healthy you have to know when is enough. As long as they have a little belly on them they are fed.
