Can I see your pics or talk bout your hopefully awesome expierences with these so called puppy dogs of aquariums.:)

i have two tiger oscars. one regular one, one albino.. i got the black one first, from my cousin at about an inch, now, a year later he is about 12" and is an extremeley sassy, but awesome fish. my favorite i own, he hasnt killed another fish in a while, so i dont really try adding other fish anymore, he is happy with the stock haha, he will jummp out of the water to eat, eats anythinggg, and if i tease it with food, we will flre his gills and attach me through the glass, its fun.. my albino oscar i got about two months after the black one, this one has had a rougher life, it got a bad case of what i thought was fin rot, and was not eating a lot while he was sick, and began getting realllly bad HITH, however alls well now and it is about 8 inches, with one eye, but eats like a beastt! i love them both.. here is my black O

nice fish and good story!

Sorry for the poor pic... mediocre camera + bad photographer = bad pics! LOL...

This is Bubba, my albino tiger oscar. I actually got Bubba at an animal rescue not too far from my house... maybe about an hour's drive. I got this awesome, beautiful fish for the whopping adoption fee of... $1! Now, Bubba is the star of the show. He goes crazy when I flick the lights on in the room where the tank is, because he knows he's about to be fed. Bubba will literally come nearly half way out the water to take pellets from my hand, if I hold them above the tank between my fingers... Bubba is a blast, and I never thought I would ever be so into an oscar. But I defnitely gots love for Bubba!

This is Bruckner. He's almost 2 years old. I thought the stories about Oscars being smart & personable were exagerations or anthropomorphic projections. They're not. He's my fourth dog, a member of the household. I look forward to my nights off so I can watch him cruise around.

Here some old pics of my Tiger Oscar named Lil O. Got him on April 2, 2010. He close to 11 inches now. He grew fast until he hit about 9 inches and slowed down some. He is a bit messy when it comes to eating but all in all still a fun fish to watch.
