anyone know how big the eggs will be if there laying and will i be able to spot them out in sand??

my 2 oscars have been doing alot of matting rituals lately in there 75gal. im trying to figure out whats going on, weather i have a male and female or what.

little more research....females have a vent tube, is that always out?? if so im not seeing it on either one.

thanks. they have been lip locking, circling around, and gravitating towards the bottom of the tank for the last few weeks. but i have yet to see any eggs or vent tubes.

that's normal, and that's there breeding ritual, but don't forgot to check if there Ok, because they may kill each other due to fighting.

You know for sure you have breeding pair until the eggs actually hatch.........Sometimes females pretend to spawbn with each other and lay eggs...........To know if the eggs are actually fertile is if they turn redish-pinkish after the second day.............

I used a dog dish once with a friend and now he swears by it and he's had several breedings since....but......he's the only person I know that does this.
