May possibly be getting a couple of oscars. Customer comes in to buy feeders and we start talking. Asks me if I want a couple of fish, doesn't want anything for them, just wants to get rid of. Ask what type and he says two oscars, one red, one tiger, about eight inches long. Says the house is too old to support his huge tank that he would like to setup and keep them in, but is concerned that the wooden floors wouldn't support a 55 gallon. So what are they in now? A 20 gallon. Told him to bring them in, supposed to be here next Sat. We'll see if he shows.

8" oscars in a 20

like i havnt heard that before

poor fish i see this all the time

be prepared for a serious case of HITH.
Tiny tank + feeders = bad idea:(

Agreed. I wouldn't be surprised if the top of the head was eroded away.

I'm pretty much expecting the same thing. If I get them I will be on here looking for help. Didn't really plan on oscars but can't have him releasing them in a lake. Which was his other option.

The good news is that you can cure HITH.

That's what I'm hoping, if he shows.

Temporarily a 55 while checking for damage and quarantining. Then probably find them a new home.
