my 15" Female Pearsei and 12" SBoscar have dug out a pit in my 150 and are trying to spawn has anybody else exterienced this sort of thing?

Very intersting in a way I hope some viable fry come of this, but in another purist type way I hope not as there already are scads of hybrids and species are having a tougher and tougher time in the wild.

I don't think the eggs will be fertile. If it's a short bodyAstronotus ocellatus you can cross breed with a Astronotus crassipinnis. Thewy have to be in the same genus. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.
