I feed my catfish dog food (a high quality dog food) and the koi love it too. I feed them hikari but they grab the dog food and cheerios too.

Duckweed!!! It's really good for them.
I can't grow it in their tank since they eat it too fast, so I grow it in my other tank and scoop it into theirs.
