Other Kinds of Fishes to Mix with Bichirs?

I've been considering a pack of hujetas if my trio of odoes doesnt work out. so far at the cheapest prices ive found the odoes for it would be over $350 with shipping, i could probably do twice as many hujeta for the same price and have less aggression to worry about as well

They are good in groups of six or more. Might be alot for a 90g cause they grow 8"-10"

I have hujeta gar in my Upper jaw and no issue, i know hujeta are not real gar.

How many and how big is your hujeta gar?

I bought six 3", that was 4 months ago but i gave the other 4 to my friends cause i converted the tank into UJ poly tank. I have two 6" left.

I've had no issues with my bichirs (Senegal) & plecos. Problem is when you have smaller fish or "elongated" fish (anything that's worm-like). I lost a Dojo to my bichir, and I think (most probably) a smaller bichir as well.

I think I will find 3-4" of hujeta gar fish. Maybe it'll be risky to mix too small gar fish with bichirs.
