Most require salt, brackish tanks. Just something to think about. What about a long nose gar/ needle nose gar?

Slowly adding African cichlids in with my polys so far none of them have been harassed mainly worried about the purple wolf eating them. Also had a Florida Gar with the polys with no issues.
Definitely not in a 90 for life.OP was asking for a 90 gal though, not sure the gar would be too happy in there

Idk man im looking forward to having a poly only tank. Feedings with cichlids/polyd are just not enjoyable and my cichlids are herbivores couldnt imagine doing this with an kscar or parachromis
I tossed in 3 African cichlids in recently and tbh didn't think the Dragon Blood would survive but they are fine so far. My goal in the future is to have a Hap, Peacock and poly community.
Some fellow in my local aquarium club facebook page had a similar set up, it looked really cool good luck with the experiment man. He ended up selling his peacocks to get more polys, I'm like yeah when the bug bites it bites and does not let go.
