Come on now, Have you ever owned a ferret? ive never had a problem with them, you have to have the stink glands removed when they are young you know. they are no more messy than a cat or dog, and have a lot more personality.

Bite him on the toe!!! KIll Kill KILL good ferrett!
 
Mine used the cat box, but it helps to have a couple boxes as when they got to go they got to go quick. Even descented ferrets have an odor but I don't think it smells bad.
 
I inherited the Chinchilla that I gave my ex for V-Day two years ago. Pain in my a** but it's a cool pet. Doesn't smell at all but likes to throw wood chips everywhere. Picky eater too, I have to buy fresh food from a Texas supplier.
 
Maybe I can trade him for an Aro or something.
