Our garden ... full of life!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hi Liz,

it's a bit weird - these animals aren't as shy as i do know them in other situations. I think they do know my wife and me ... no danger at all! But this needs time ... whwn we went to this house about 10 years ago the animals had shown their normal behaviour.

Greetings

Uwe

Sehr, sehr schöne photos, Uve! Muss toll sein, wo du lebst. Sind die Natrix schlangen nicht giftig?

Hi Miguel,

Uwe

because they have learned that your backyard is a safe haven for them.. as i wish all back yards could be for our wonderful creatures...

Uwe- This some of the best work I have seen. The pics are amazing, and you have quite the plethora of animals living amongst you. My back yard has feral cats and squirrels. You are lucky!

Hi Liz,

but there's danger for this paradise .... !

We have a small stream through our garden - on the other side there's a very special german-type party: Building houses that no-one needs. On this side there was sooo much life ... now it's a dead-zone (it sounds cynic: Do Germans love dead-zones?)

Sometimes i think our house is like an enclave or ark ...

Here you can see my wife with our duck "Gustav" (nowadays this name bears a complete new, brutal meaning) - in former times wild-living, now living in our garden ... he has the choice to.
Behind the wooden wall our neighbors are living and do have a lot of fun creating barbwire zones to prevent intruding of "Gustav" in their area. They also love to poison these rare rats ... the real killing affects all other animals (martens, owls, falcons), most of them are unter protection (nature conservation).
Here in Germany people are used to rail against the american behaviour due to the nature and environment. Oh, it's sooo cool to do this - and doing everything vice versa!!! I often thought it would be best to abandon this country and leave it with its betonizing fetish ...

some sad greetings

you are a sweet gentle person after my own heart... i have many animals that i am too frightened to part with for fear their ending will not be kind... animals are a gift to me... they make you laugh and learn and feel... i would not exist with out them... i was this way from a child and i will hope someday there will be an animal heaven...all i ask is for it to be tidy..:D
