Our new family member

The new addition to the family. My partner has wanted an Eclectus for a very long time and she has finally bought one. I must say, I am glad she did. He is about 18wks now and loves a cuddle. We called him Loco.





I posted this shot in the photo lounge but had to include it here.





This shot is a zoom in of the picture above this one. You can see how the feathers on Eclectus are different to other birds. Almost hair like.

That is awesome. My daughter loves birds. How much attention do these guys need? My aunt had a huge red parrot that went crazy and pulled all his own feathers out, I read later they do that cuz they don't get enough attention...

Love that species. They are one of the few birds you can cuddle like a cat and not lose fingers.
