young guy, is he fully weaned yet or do you still have to handfeed?

make sure you pack his cage with toys, they get bored quick, especially the babies

He is fully weaned...the store won't let them go otherwise.

As far as toys, he is loaded up. And my wife is buying more every couple of days. He's not to interested in the hanging toys, just the paper toys (to tear up) and the foot toys.

I love African Greys....When I get chance again, I'll buy one again....I owned both the Congo and Timneh....Great talkers....

you should get a small puzzle toy, and a few forage toys if you don't have any already..greys really love the puzzle toys..and forage toys stimulate natural behavior..my cockatoo gets really excited whe he finds a new food item in any of his forage toys..lol.

what are you feeding?

We were going to hold off on the puzzle/forage toys for a couple of months, since he is still pretty young. He is still working on balance on hand eye coordination. But, once he's a little older we will be getting the more puzzle toys.

He is being fed....

3 different seed mixes
mixed nuts (as treats)
grapes
bananas
broccoli
carrots

try offering pellets(harrisons, roudybush, zupreem) into his diet, seeds are bad for birds as a staple as they mostly contain fat and can possibly be infested with mycotoxins. pellets are much more nutritious, all my parrots get pellets as a staple, seeds, fruits nuts, pasta, and rice as treats. and since he is young he might take to them right away.

you should check this place out if you ever need any further help with him

My bad...I did mean to say pellets, not seed. I was on the phone while I was typing that. We are feeding it all Zupreem pellets...the natural, the garden mix, and another type of dry fruit mix...I think.

My wife belongs to 2 bird boards. One being the birdboard.com and the other is africangrey.ca. It's more her bird then mine. I will have her check that one out as well.

Appreciate the help. :)
