You can swing by the house and I can set you up with 80 gallons of RO/DI water....LOL
I agree with testing your tap water...and not just once either. After all you might be using prime for no reason at all.

you should test your tap water for chlorine and chlorimine along with other perams first. i know when i tested my tap water it has no chlorine, chlorimine or ammonia so there is absolutely no need for declor for me. maybe there is no need for you either. (but then again i have well water....ah it tastes soooooo good!)

Yep testing his tap water was my next question too. If you just have chlorine in the water just fill a bucket and stick an airstone in the bucket and it will chase all the chlorine off in a couple of hours, if its chlorine I'd advise waiting till you get some more prime before doing a water change.

I have tested my water in the past and it was fine. However, I am now re-cycling my 120. I found out that, at times, our level of chlorine changes. My building has a filter that eliminates the chlorine when it is at low levels. I found out the hard way that when the levels go up, I'm scr--wed.

Where I live you can't buy Prime or Bio-Spira. Only cheap imposters. I do a lot of ordering on line.

IF you go ebay you can buy in bulk for a fraction of the pirce if you wanted to buy bulk from a LFS
