I got this catfish about a year and a half ago at about 1.5 inches. He is now about 17 and still growing. He is currently with a Oscar and Bluegill in a 75, but I need to find him a new home very soon.

I have a friend with a pond that has taken some of my other grow outs, but with this one being albino, it wouldn't last long with the birds in the area. Local pet shops are also no help.

I just wanted to know if anyone had any ideas I might not have thought of yet?

Post pics for an ID. most likely an Albino Channel Catfish. Advertise it for Free on craigslist and in the marketplace.

It is definatly a albino channel cat, I have had many befor, but this one is my first albino.

I have never used Craigslist, i didn't go there because I thought I'd be inundated with rednecks looking for a free albino catfish sandwich , or thinking it would be good bait for fishing.

Where in Florida are you located? I'm looking for a large cat for my tank?

A 150 won't cut it. Channels get 3'++, and ren't even compatible with you oscar, seeing that there coldwater fish to begin with.

They are not cold water only. They are found everywhere. I catch them
All the time in south Florida(where they are native) where I also catch oscars, tilapia, and other invasive tropical fish. They do just fine 70-80 degree water. There're like one of those versatile fish that can be ok in both cold and warm water.

I agree, the temperature is not really a problem with them. A 150 is to small, I grew out a few when I had my 150, they are a great catfish though, just don't have the tank to keep them to full size.

If you are ever down here in Naples or near, I could take your fish. I am preparing to open a Public Aquarium here focusing on the largest fresh water fish from all around the world. We are currently shooting for this winter to open. If you need proof/credentials, let me know.
