Out With The Old. In With The New

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
when you said "out with the old" i thought you were leaving the hobby.........:grinno:

In With The New:

New rack of pressure treated lumber, primered and painted. Bins are plumbed together to a home-made wet/dry filter with 2" to 1.25" overflows. Filter is a stock 10gal with a file bin media chamber. Cost (with pump) was $35.00.
One PeanutPower picks his fish up, these bins will hold my female FRTs. The bins are 50" x 24" which is plenty of room for the FRTs (for awhile, anyway).

Great looking DIY oddball... its just a shadow of its former ghetto self. :D
I bet the frts will have a grand time in there. Only thing is it would be hard to see them
"scale" the side of the tanks while swimming.

good job! How many you puttin in there? Males going in the top?

nice overflow idea, i keep my big lungfish in one of those at the moment and i'll have to try that...he keeps trashing anything i try to put in there and i'll have to keep the water level lower as i cover it since he's a known escape artist at times.
