I'll be building a 2,000 gallon pond over the summer. Its going to be one of those intex pools (Pvc). Mainly for my turtles. Ive always wanted some large dream fish. But can't put them in my 225gl. Because I fear they would eat my smaller fish.

Heres the Fish I would like:
Giant Gourami
Orino Peacock Bass
Silver Aro.
Tropical Gar

The Turtles I have:
2 x Map Turtles - 6in.
1 x Yellow Belly Slider- 5in
1 x Red Ear Slider - 6in.

I do not fear as much as the turtles eating them. But them eating the turtles. Anyone ever had any of these fish eat their turtles? And I would like some type of cat fish that doesn't eat turtles either. I like Red Tail Cats but have heard of them eating turtles... There will be a net of the pond. And the pond would have a turn rate of at least 4.

Ya filtration im planning on being huge. My turtles haven't really gone after any live fish. So I don't really worry about that. They've only gone after fish when the power went out and they took advantage of the situation..... When they where gulping at the surface.:irked: But I think with more surface room it would take them more work for them to chase a fish...:D They get bored really easily if they don't get them in the first try.

You should be fine with all of the mentioned fish except the RTC; the main thing is that the turtles shell is too big to fit in the fish's mouth.

The fish should also be big enough so that the turtles don't take bites out of them lol; a little tropical gar getting munched on by a turtle is one expensive meal.

Another option could be a natives pond with the turtles; it would be kinda like their own little mini replica of their natural habitat.

Explain the native pond?

Ehh... I would like to have my dream monsters....more than a native pond.

Oh... My mistake I meant a spotted gar not a tropical.
