I live is south louisiana and i love fish. I was thinking of gettin a 125 gal. aquarium and the only place that i can keep it is outside. Would that be a good spot to keep it because of the weather and the humidity? Any suggestions would be very helpful. The spot that I have picked out is in the garage. :woot: :headbang2

Howdy,

The humidity doesn't matter - after all, it's just water ;)

I'd say it all depends on your temperatures (low as well as high - within the garage, of course). It seems to me like this would be ideal for some local fish if your temps cannot guarantee for a safe habitat for tropical fish.

Outside temps should make little diff as long as your heaters can keep the water warm.

Hiya yonk, a 125? Try some locals, 2 black bullheads, 3-5 bluegill or shellcrackers, a 10" bowfin, 3-5 smallish red drum. When the redfish get to big eat them and get new ones.

maybe look in to a metal shead(can be assembled in an afternoon!) or a porta garage(tent style)if there is no slab(concrete foundation ) get some plastic (lay down first) then find some pallet's (lay over plastic) buy some playwood) screw them to the pallet's (screw's bite better assembly will be faster too!) now you have a basic foundatin (try to level the area too!) if this is to much then the garage sound's good.... beat of luck to you

Yep, just keep your temperature stable and you'll be fine, buy a good quality heater that is automatic and has the right wattage. I use Ebo Jager.

I have kept 29gs and 35gs on the front stoop and back patio while in Oakland, the fish were all locals. The only problem I had was one being broken by a drunk.
