hey every one I am just wondering if it is possible to do a pond outside in central ny? yea I know probably a stupid question but i am just wondering if it is possible or not.

Sure it's possible. Just make sure it's over 3 feet deep or else you are limited to cheap goldfish or bringing in koi over the winter.
wow really i didnt think it would be. it would have to cost alot to keep it from freeze in winter wouldnt it
It has to be deeper then 3 feet so that the fish have a place to dive to. And as for freezing just keep a hole in the top year round for gas exchange.

awsome wow i am planning this filter Ultima II Filter burried next to the pond. the pond will probably be around 3,000 gallons (10 foot diameter 4 feet deep) i am open to any stocking advice as well as what i need to know about ponds this will be my first. thanks in advance.
may be down sized down to a 8 foot diameter all depends please help me out here i would like all the research so i can budget it all out and really do it right.
