I have these whites dots appearing over my tank gradually. They are on driftwood but also on the glass itself so not a wood fungus. As title says I have never encountered this before and the ONLY thing different I have done, or added, is mystery snails. The white dots seem to just stay there forever, no growth or anything.

I took out this piece of wood to get a pic, any idea?..

They are about 2mm round.

I thought snail eggs, but mystery snails lay above the water and eggs are always in that jelly stuff. These things just appear and look more of a fungus. I do have two zebra nerite snails also added at same time, but they dont lay in FW.

edit: On another inspection, there are quite alot of them now. Mainly on wood, but glass also. Some of the older ones are starting to fade in colour (color :)) Some are in nooks and crannys that my fat snails couldnt get to.

Nerite snails will lay eggs in freshwater, they just don't hatch or are not viable.

Do nerite eggs look like this? The wood in the picture i left out of the water. They remain on the wood days later stil intact, maybe a bit deflated. Sure its some kind of fungus or the like, but have no clue really. They stay the same for way to long be eggs, im sure they are not eggs but any reply is very helpful.

Nerite snail eggs look similar to a grain of rice and can be white to tan in color. I can't tell from your picture what they are.

Hope they're not small MTS. That can be a pain in the butt. Have you added anything else new like plants, wood, rocks?

Its had a couple of new plants, only from the regular lfs I use though. They are still appearing everywhere, not growing or hatching. Very fungus like. Maybe ill take a piece of wood to the lfs and see if they can shed any light.

Another thing different I do actually..I buy a tub of dendro worms from the fishing bait shop to feed my eel with. They come in soil, could have something to do with that?

Looks like nerite snail eggs to me. They do lay eggs they just aren't fertilized.
