I have a 150 gallon tank with 2 hon marineland 400's im looking at getting a fluval fx6 and nixing the hob filters completely, my question is will that be too much? Its currently sticked with a dovii, rd, jaguar and 2 p bass any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated

I would consider 2x emp400 under filtered for that size tank and stocking. I think adding a fx6 would be just about right. I used to run 2x ac110 and an fx6 on my 125 until I borrowed one of the ac's for another tank, and I only have 1 fish in the tank.

You can never have too much filtration. I have a FX5 and want to add a FX6 to my 150g.

No such thing as too much filtration. Maybe too much current, but doubtful for those guys
