Forget the hose, plumb the whole thing in pvc.A little more work but cheaper and less likly to leak in the long run

If I cannot get the thing to stop, that's what I plan on doing next. But what size on pvc should I use for the run? 1" for the whole thing???

Update-
Ok so I tried the spaflex hose. I bought the 1 1/2" hose, I already had the 1 1/2" barbed connectors. Well it didn't work, it actually was worse then the other hose I had. Only because the other hose fit the connectors better. Anyway with the right barbed connectors it's probably really good hose. So anyway, I plumbed the wet/dry with 1" pvc all the way. I wish I would have done that in the first place. On both the over flow and the wet dry side I put a union on there, so I can easily de-attach the pvc and clean the sump or over flow if I need to. Thanks to everyone who gave me advice!

My question is: Why is the hose clamp nowhere near the connection? You don't need to silicone it at all if you have the hose clamp where it's supposed to be.
In my last sump setup, I needed niether silicone or clamps.
Like Dr. Joe said, barbed fittings and the correct diameter hose.
A hose on a correctly sized barb fitting is extremely hard to take apart by hand with no clamping or "gluing".

Sorry the Spaflex didn't work out for you, but I'm glad you solved your leak problem.:)

A reason why is that I've found a lot of bulkheads to be metric sized with Spaflex and other hoses being standard.
