I'm not sure what you could use to attach plexi to glass. Both materials react differently to pressure and temp changes so the bonding agent would need to adjust for 2 extremes.

Weld-on bonding agents are used to construct acrylic tanks. Once cured, they're inert and safe for fish.

I'd recommend using one material to construct your boxes. Better yet, you can find overflow boxes on ebay for $5 used to $40 new. I just bought a pair of 900GPH new overflows for $68 delivered (with box bulkhead fittings and prefilter standpipes/sponges).

ok illl look on ebay but if all else fails ill just make the hole think out of pvc
also where would be the best place to put the box, in the back corner or back middle
