is it possible to do an over flow some how without drilling a tank? the sticker on the bottom says that its a tempered tank and cant be drilled

i get the idea now.. but would i have to run two over flows if i wanted to do a drip system into a sumb in the stand? i know i could do it if i had the sump higher and just drained it out the window. cause i could drill the sump at the water line. but i want the sump hidden

like this but i would like to drain the extra back out the window where the drip will be coming from... and not have to pump it out... to where power outages would be an issue and end up flooding my sump and then house

U can buy siphon overflow boxes for relatively cheap as long as its not those cs overflow boxes made by cpr cuz those are a little expensive. I got one that works great. it just hangs on the back and uses a siphon to bring water over. U just attach any tubing from like lowes or something and it'll will get the water where u want so it should work fine.

if you build the overflow as directed in the stickies, you will not have any problems with overflow if you have a power outage. the pipe leading out the window is unnecessary, and actually, wouldnt even work as designed.
many people here have been using DIY overflows for a long time and can vouch for their reliability.
i shut mine off all the time for feedings and sump maintenance, and have not had any problems with the tank overflowing.
i made a couple of "power outage simulation" videos, and posted them on youtube. ill try to post them when i get a chance.

just follow the design in the sticky. make sure the pipe is sealed and the check valve is properly installed, and you wont have any problems.

the pipe from the window is a drip system. planning on adding fresh water to the tank at a small rate. while letting the same amount over flow out the window. but how can i do that and have a sump? cause it will just over flow the sump after about a day.
