Overated fish

What fish we prefer is highly subjective. I like them all...except pacus. But that doesn't mean pacus aren't awesome, or that my favorite fish aren't considered "boring". It all comes down to what works for you, and what you're capable of handling.

What truly is overrated though, are silly little kids who barely know enough about fish keeping to own a betta, yet who seem to think they've already got it all figured out.

Think you misunderstood the post he was talking about "oscars grow to 18" there for you must have x to keep them but in reality you don't find very many 18" oscars". People using max size or rather irregular size as average size.

the original poster couldn't follow a train of thought if it was pulling him along behind it. its obvious that the title has nothing to do with what he was saying but I couldn't agree more with Squishface up there. Everyone likes and dislikes different fish for different reasons. making a thread like that is really just going to cause arguments between people concerning which fish are good vs which aren't.

at the end of the day this is why we have sub forums, to keep people who hate certain fish away from people who like certain fish, thus maintaining fishkeeping harmony
