the only issue I would have with over filtration is if the fish in the tank is not a fast flowing water dweller in my minds the clean water is nice but if the fish is not a natural habitant of such environment not so good depends on whats in the tank but I always filter my tanks at 125%-150% of recommended size and do weekly 50% wc. 2xwc on my 150g+ tanks
