My overflow box isn't draining the water quick enough. I have a eshopps pf-1200 overflow box and use a 200gph pump. The maximum flow for the boc is 1000gph. The inside black box remains completely submerges. Here is my set up.

That vinyl clear hose almost looks kinked when it goes below the tank, that may be causing the slow drainage. And I would put a clamp on those fittings from the overflow box ASAP! I even siliconed mine and used a clamp, 2 months later it popped off and 50gallons on my floor. I just tightned the **** out of it and no problems.

Lowe's, home depot, auto zone etc has these

Thanks for the response. No major kinks in the tube. It has a curve from being wrapped but no bends of folds. I will reinforce the tubing, I have dealt with enough floods from being lazy.

Could the flow be to slow? It's 200gph pump. With head loss and culuprea stuck on the pump it is much slower.

Here is the embedded video if it helps.

I have the same overflow and recently discovered that if you lower the black box, the more siphon you get. Position it on the edge with the screws and i would cut the hose shorter where it reaches the sump

Thanks for the advice. I left the tubing longer because I a am redoing my set up next week and might need the extra legnth.

It is working now. I think it the problem was the sponges in the U tubes. One was crunched in and the other was half out and stuffed in as well. I took one sponge out and redid the other one. I also changed the return pump to a 600GPH pump.

Grab those clamps brother I'm telling you! Especially since you raised the gph which equates to more pressure in the hoses!
