top shot wont be needed bro... i get the picture.... the 3/4" gives me the freedom of not having pvc at the back of the tank... so that is goood.... now ive just put the glass order on hold as i will be getting an acrylic O box made... dont know if it will be feasible as i will need an 8mm acrylic, donno if i can get black sheets at that size..... but i will give it a shot tmrw...

I got this Overflow box custom made... managed to find some black acrylic @ 5mm, so im taking a chance here... donno if this would work.... i guess with thickness i should be giving glass supports... any insights would be great... and also on the grooves.. i got it done at 2mm... is it enuf to maintain steady flow into the sump?

Dude, I don't want to alarm you, or derail the thread, but it looks like there is a tiger on your back porch. Careful!

I still havent finish the build... just the tank is glued together... enlighten me plz on the O box... is it the thickness? the groves i have widened already...

I imagine the overflow box will work fine. I could be wrong, though, I don't know much about overflows and sumps.

I was referring to your picture. There is a tiger on the other side of your glass door.

Bonding acrylic to glass with silicon can be tricky. Other than that, it should work. You may need more notches in the overflow too. trial & error.
