Overflow idea!!!!

You can paint the PVC with Krylon Fusion paint. I painted one black so the stark white pipe wouldn't detract from the look of the tank. I'm going to make another one and try the Fusion river rock textured brown paint with hunter green painted ivy stencils that I picked up in a Wal-Mart craft department.

lol...you kind of sound like me, i just love having my tanks look the best they can.
One quick question, could i run the pipes from the DIY overflow verticle and horizontal? I am trying to make all of the plumbing out of hard pvc so it looks as clean and is as sturdy as possible.

Here is the diagram of what i have to set up... please take the time to check it out, make sure everything SHOULD work out...

yes there is more bracing on the back of the tank stand, for the sake of the diagram i left it out...
the tank is a 125, i built a 1.5" overflow already to take the water out, i know its probly overkill but i want the pump to run as fast as it should...i had to slow it down with my 1" overflow...

well im just asking because i think it was on the overflow thread thats about 30 pages long somewhere, someone said not to have the overflows pipes going vertical or horizontal for some reason, i was jw...but now i will go through and finish it up
thanks everyone

Also, don't try to re-invent the thing unless you are certain you understand how they work. Many people have made various modifications and then can't understand why it does not work. (They had to scrap their work and start over.)
