Ok i wanna use this tube for my overflow box but i am not able to hold water inside even though i have made a hole on the top. As soon as i suck out the water with my mouth, air goes back in and the syphon break. How does it work?> do i really need to have an airline tube?????

Hope u can see the picture i have uploaded. Sorry about the dirty sink

lol, straight hole. the hole isnt even needed but has its benefits if its capped with a check vale.

Never seen the U tube with a hole in it?

Nominated, for the flood waiting to happen trophy, all hard times aside I would start over , as your going to have a hard time sealing that hole that looks to be a slice. The U Tube of that size can be used with out a hole, you can run and airline hose up to the center of the U and suck the air out, then remove the air line hose.

Ok ok i agree that hole was not the smartest thing i have done but even if i pull all the air out the flow is not that great. i only get a small trickle even though its a thick tube. The water level in the tank and the overflow box is at the same level. How do you make the flow faster????????????

To a certain extent the flow depends on how fast the water can drain from the over flow box, the section on the back of the tank. For example you can have U Tubes that can handle 1200GPH through the U tube, but if the drain can only flow out at 300gph the 300gph is all you will get.
